1. Clean regularly


After each use: Clean the soil, weeds and other attachments on the laminator, especially the parts that are prone to mud accumulation such as the blade, the press wheel, and the drive shaft.

Key parts: Pay attention to the coating parts, conveyor belts and rollers, which should be kept clean to prevent damage or entanglement of the covering film.


2. Lubrication maintenance


Lubricating bearings: bearings, chains, gears and other moving parts should be regularly filled with lubricating oil, especially in dusty working environments, to reduce wear.

Lubrication frequency: According to the cycle recommended by the manual, it is generally necessary to lubricate once after every 50 hours of operation, and the lubrication frequency can be appropriately increased after especially heavy work.


3. Check fasteners


Check bolts and nuts: Because the machine will vibrate during operation, it is easy to loosen bolts and nuts. Check and tighten loose parts regularly.

Fixed chain: Check the tightness of the chain and keep the chain properly tight to prevent the chain from falling off or skipping teeth.

4. Maintenance of blades and film rollers


Blade sharpness: ridge machine blade should be kept sharp, regularly check whether the wear is serious, and replace it if necessary to ensure the film effect.

State of the film press wheel: Check whether the film press wheel is deformed or worn, the wheel should be able to rotate smoothly, and the axle should be lubricated with oil to avoid rust affecting the operation.


5. Check the membrane rack and tensioning device


Film rack: Check whether the film rack is stable to ensure that the film roll is installed stably, not tilted, not loose.

Tensioning device: adjust the tensioning device regularly to keep the appropriate tension of the film, prevent the film material from being too loose or too tight, affecting the covering effect.


6. Check the transmission system


Belt and chain: Check the wear of belt and chain, and replace it in time when there are cracks or damage.

Gear meshing condition: ensure gear and chain transmission system meshing well, no foreign matter between the gears to prevent damage to the transmission mechanism.


7. Storage environment


Moisture-proof storage: When not used for a long time, place the ridger in a dry and well-ventilated place to prevent rust.

Protective cover: Cover as much as possible to protect the machine from direct sunlight and rain erosion, reduce the aging of plastic parts.


8. Check the electrical system regularly


Power cord: If it is a ridger with a motor drive, check whether the power cord and plug are intact to avoid leakage.

Control panel: Clean and inspect the control panel to avoid dust and moisture intrusion affecting the normal operation of the electrical system.


9. Replace wearing parts regularly


List of wearing parts: Prepare a list of spare parts according to the machine instructions, and prepare replacement parts in advance for the parts that need to be replaced regularly, such as bearings and blades.

Spare parts procurement: Purchase the original parts or replacement parts that meet the specifications to ensure the reliability of the device.


10. Check before and after work


Before operation: Ensure that all components are in good condition to prevent faults during operation.

After operation: Conduct a comprehensive inspection after the end of the operation, and repair the damaged or loose parts in time.
