The Use of Rotary Tiller Precautions

Rototiller is a kind of agricultural machinery, mainly used for land cultivation, which can effectively loosen soil and prepare the land. When using a rotary tiller, you need to pay attention to the following matters to ensure safe operation, normal work of the machinery, and extend the life of the equipment:

Preparations before the operation

Check the mechanical status:

Check whether the blade of the rotary tiller is in good condition. If the blade is loose or badly worn, replace it in time.

Ensure that all connecting components are tight and secure, especially the rotary blade shaft, transmission components, and power output shaft (PTO).

Check the amount of oil in the transmission box and lubricating parts, and add appropriate lubricating oil if necessary.

Check the tightness of bolts, chains and belts and adjust them to the appropriate state.

Familiar with the operating instructions:

Read the user manual of the rotary tiller to understand the operation methods and technical parameters (such as spindle speed, ploughing depth, etc.).

Ensure the compatibility of tractor and rotary tiller (power output shaft, power and other parameters need to be matched).

Cleaning the work area:

Make sure there are no large rocks, metal objects, or other obstructions in the farming area that could damage machinery.

Check safety facilities:

Ensure that the shield is intact to protect the operator and equipment.

Precautions during operation

Startup and shutdown:

Before starting, make sure the power output shaft is securely connected.

Start the rotary tiller without load, and gradually lower the blade into the soil after normal operation.

At the end of the operation, first raise the rotary tiller to idle state, and then turn off the power output.

Reasonable operation:

Tillage depth: Set the appropriate tillage depth according to the soil conditions, generally 10-20 cm.

Tool shaft speed: Avoid tool shaft too fast or too slow, should be adjusted to the appropriate speed according to operating conditions.

Forward speed: The speed of the tractor needs to match the rotation speed of the rotary tiller knife shaft to avoid over-ploughing or missing ploughing.

Avoid overload:

If the machine load is found to be too large during the operation (abnormal engine sound or black smoke), it should be stopped immediately to check whether there is debris entanglement or the knife shaft is stuck.

Turning and reversing:

When turning or reversing, the rotary tiller should be lifted to avoid blade damage or accidental danger.

Pay attention to safety:

It is forbidden to be close to the knife shaft when the rotary tiller is working, so as to avoid accidents.

Work areas should be kept away from unrelated persons, especially children.

Maintenance after operation

Cleaning and inspection:

After stopping, remove the dirt, grass and other debris on the blade and rotary tiller.

Check the blade for wear, deformation or cracks, and replace it if necessary.

Lubrication and maintenance:

Check the lubrication of the transmission parts and add lubricating oil regularly.

Tensioning or replacing transmission mechanisms such as chains and belts.

Store:

Clean equipment thoroughly before storage and apply anti-rust oil.

Store the rotary tiller in a dry and ventilated place, away from the sun and rain.

Common problem handling

Knife shaft tangled grass: After the shutdown, use special tools to clean the tangled weeds, do not operate with bare hands.

Abnormal vibration: Check whether the blade is installed evenly or whether the bearing is worn.

Poor tillage: Check that the tillage depth is set correctly and the blade is worn.

The correct use and maintenance of the rotary tiller can not only improve the working efficiency, but also extend the service life of the equipment and ensure the safety of operation.
