Working Principle |
The FXS7/340 combines liquid atomization with strong air assistance.
During operation, the sprayer is mounted on the tractor rear three-point hitch and connected to the tractor PTO shaft. PTO power drives the spraying system while the tractor provides movement through the orchard.
Spray liquid is delivered from the 300L main tank to the nozzle system. Ten nozzles distribute the liquid around the fan outlet and atomize it into fine droplets.
At the same time, the 700mm axial fan generates a high-volume air stream of up to 15,800 m³/h.
The airflow carries the spray droplets away from the machine and into the fruit-tree canopy. Instead of allowing most of the spray to remain on the outer leaf surfaces, air movement helps push mist between branches and toward inner canopy areas.
This operating principle is particularly useful for apple, cherry and similar fruit trees, where foliage can become dense during the growing season.
The final spray distribution depends on factors such as tractor travel speed, nozzle adjustment, tree height and canopy density. Before formal spraying, the operator can adjust the working condition according to the actual orchard.

The FXS7/340 uses a 300L main tank for pesticide or other plant-protection solutions.
This capacity gives the sprayer a more compact structure than the larger 600L and 1000L orchard sprayers in the GRANDEMAC range.
For medium-sized orchards, the 300L configuration provides a balance between spraying capacity and tractor-mounted maneuverability.
Because the tank is mounted together with the spraying system on the tractor, tractor lifting capacity and the specified ≥35HP power requirement should be considered when matching the equipment.
The 700mm fan is the main air-assistance component.
Its listed air volume is 15,800 m³/h, providing the airflow required to transport spray droplets through fruit-tree foliage.
For orchard spraying, fan airflow is important because canopy coverage depends not only on liquid pressure but also on whether droplets can physically reach inner leaves and branches.
The 700mm configuration gives the FXS7/340 enough airflow for typical medium commercial orchard applications while keeping the machine smaller than higher-capacity trailed units.
The machine is equipped with 10 nozzles distributed around the air-blast spraying section.
Multiple nozzles help create a wider spray pattern around the fan outlet and allow treatment to be directed toward different areas of the tree canopy.
Operators can adjust the spraying setup according to tree height and density before starting formal field work.
A separate 40L tank is provided for washing the spray circuit.
After pesticide application, clean water can be used to flush residual liquid from pipelines and other parts of the spraying system.
This is important when completing the day's work or preparing the sprayer for a different treatment solution.
Regular flushing also helps prevent dried chemical residues from remaining inside the liquid circuit.
The sprayer includes a separate 10L clean-water tank for operator hand washing.
Keeping hand-washing water separate from the pesticide tank provides a dedicated water source for personal cleaning during orchard work.
This is a practical feature for operators working away from fixed water supplies.
The FXS7/340 mounts directly to the tractor rear three-point linkage.
This differs from the FQS series, which uses a trailed drawbar configuration.
The mounted arrangement creates a shorter overall machine combination and removes the additional wheels and chassis required by a trailed sprayer.
For orchards with tighter turns and moderate working areas, this compact structure can make maneuvering easier.
